As a Research Executive, Xanthe manages a variety of projects at every stage, from liaising with the client and carrying out early desk-based research to analysing data and producing the final reports and presentations. She is responsible for managing the British Museum’s annual and exhibition research, and has also managed projects for clients including English Heritage, Royal Collection Trust and the National Media Museum.
Xanthe’s prior experience, both professional and academic, has given her excellent knowledge of research methodologies and rigorous copy-editing skills, and she enjoys working collaboratively with colleagues and building relationships with a wide range of contacts across institutions.
In the past, Xanthe has worked across the cultural and heritage sector, including at English Heritage, Winchester Museums Service, the Imperial War Museum and an antiquarian book-dealers’. She has also volunteered at Dr Johnson’s House and Middle Temple as part of Open House London, and believes that all audiences should have easy access to, and the chance to enjoy, arts and heritage attractions.
Xanthe enjoys cycling, cooking, and listening to Radio 4. Having recently moved to Manchester, she’s particularly looking forward to exploring the towns and countryside of the North West.
