As a Research Assistant, Maddy is involved in all stages of a project from inception to completion. The variety of the role keeps every day interesting; whether it be preparing interview guides for focus groups, analysing survey data or visualising complex data in an accessible way.
Maddy joined MHM in 2015 as a Telephone Researcher, responsible for both recruiting respondents for visit experience focus groups, as well as conducting surveys over the phone. This time continues to inform Maddy in her current role, allowing her to build on her forward-facing experience with her work behind the scenes within the Research team.
Whilst studying for a degree in Politics at The University of Manchester, Maddy gained a clear understanding of both quantitative and qualitative research methods in a social context – something that she has enjoyed developing in her research role at MHM.
