As a Research Executive, Maddy is involved in all stages of projects from inception to completion. The variety of the role keeps everyday interesting, whether it be helping clients to define their research objectives, designing data collection tools or analysing survey data.
Maddy joined MHM in 2015 as a Telephone Researcher; responsible for both recruiting respondents for visitor experience focus groups, as well as conducting surveys over the phone. This time continues to inform Maddy in her current role, allowing her to build on her forward-facing experience as she takes on the management of increasingly complex projects.
Maddy’s worked for a range of clients; from kicking off Visitor 360 projects in Sweden and for We The Curious in Bristol, to a multi-method research project exploring young people’s cultural engagement for Arts Connect.
Whilst studying for a degree in Politics at The University of Manchester, Maddy gained a clear understanding of both quantitative and qualitative research methods in a social context – something that she has enjoyed developing in her research role at MHM.
