Joss joined MHM in 2012 and leads on the design and delivery of a wide range of audience insight projects including visitor journey mapping and visit experience evaluation; branding and strategic planning; website and app evaluation; market sizing and segmentation.
Joss spends much of his time working internationally and leads on MHM’s Scandinavian strategy, which involves oversight of visitor research for a consortium of 9 Stockholm based museum, art museums and historic attractions. He has also delivered major visitor experience evaluations for the Guggenheim and Smithsonian in the USA, with a focus on understanding visitor engagement with digital technology in the museum environment.
Joss enjoys building long term partnerships with his clients and has worked with the Swedish National History Museum (Sweden), Moderna Museum (Sweden), the Natural History Museum (UK) and the Postal Museum (UK) for a number of years.
Joss studied Politics and Anthropology at the University of Sussex. He has an Advance Certificate in Market and Social Research from the Market Research Society.
Previously, he worked for Greater Manchester’s economic development agency, where he assisted on research-led projects designed to enhance growth across the regions’ creative, digital and science and technology sectors.
