Beth’s role as a Research Assistant is full of variety; from proof-reading reports and creating presentations to analysing survey data. Beth works for a wide range of our clients, including the National Trust, SFMOMA, Fuel Theatre and the Smithsonian Institute.
Beth’s strengths lie in her communication skills, which she employs to present complex ideas and data in an accessible manner. Beth prides herself on her rigorous eye for detail, vital for designing models and proofing reports. Beth developed her research and analytical skills whilst studying Drama and English Literature at The University of Manchester, where she was awarded The Dean’s Award for Outstanding Achievement. Whilst studying, Beth set up and directed a feminist theatre collective, giving her experience of both project management and running outreach programmes.
Before joining MHM, Beth volunteered across the arts and culture sector, at The Royal Exchange Theatre, Contact Theatre, Z-Arts, The Whitworth Gallery and The Museum of Science and Industry. This work strengthened Beth’s passionate belief that the arts should be accessible to all, a belief that still drives her work at MHM.
In her free time, Beth continues to research and write new pieces of feminist theatre. She can be found watching pieces of new writing, baking or going out for tasty vegetarian food.
