As a Senior Researcher, Sarah will bring her knowledge of museums in the Gulf Region to this project and will assist with refining the research methodology to ensure it is tailored for KSA audiences, Saudi nationals and expat residents alike.
Prior to joining MHM, Sarah spent the last 16 years living and working in the Gulf, 9 of those years working in the museum sector specifically. With a strong background in Learning, her key interests are in putting an understanding of audiences at the heart of every strategy, exhibition and programme. She has devised and led research programmes with a wide variety of research methods for various museum-based projects and believes there is always something new to learn.
She is passionate about the cultural market in the Middle East, the audiences who attend and the opportunities for organisations to make positive choices that will put them at the forefront of museum development not just in the Gulf, but further afield as well. The key to any project, she says, is working hand in hand with the client, empowering them through skills development to continue and develop after the project is over.
Sarah has previous experience working in Qatar and the UAE, and is currently a Senior Researcher on the Saudi Museums Commission Audience Engagement Masterplan.
