Emily Burns

Research Executive

Emily manages projects across their lifecycle; from methodology design to analysis and reporting. She liaises with clients to ensure projects are effective and meet their objectives. Emily’s creativity enables her to respond to a brief with imaginative and engaging ideas.

Emily applies her wide research and leadership experience to her work at MHM. The insight she has gained into young people’s behaviour and motivations enables her to design family-friendly research projects, helping clients to tap into the audience of tomorrow.

After graduating with a Masters in History and Politics, Emily worked in inner-city London schools, for the Educational Charity Teach First. She applied her analysis and problem-solving skills to devise workable solutions to help raise educational engagement and attainment in disadvantaged communities.

Before joining the MHM Auckland office, Emily worked for the New Zealand government, developing and evaluating national policies. She has carried out a range of research projects across a variety of sectors in both the United Kingdom and New Zealand.

Outside of work, Emily is a keen explorer, artist and cake eater.
